Manhal Mumtaz, student of 2014 session of Mechanical Engineering, UET has won an International Competition named as “MOL Femme Program” about women empowerment in Oil and Gas Industry and bagged the title of “Woman of Tomorrow” She was one of the 3 finalists from Pakistan who got the chance to travel to Budapest, Hungary in Europe on a fully sponsored trip to participate in final round competing with candidates from Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Italy, Russia, Denmark etc.
She became the only Pakistani winner out of 3 international winners competing with 12 candidates and made the whole country proud by winning a scholarship for first year of Ms, a chance of attending an International Conference about Oil and Gas Industry soon and Internship opportunity at MOL Pakistan. MOL is a European Multinational Oil and Gas Group that arranges many programs for students. It is also an achievement of UET that since this program has initiated , the two winners of Pakistan are from UET Lahore. Last year Sara Mujahid from 2014 Geological Engineering Session won this competition and this year Manhal Mumtaz from 2014 Mechanical Engineering has won.
